WM offers commercial and multi-family customers two separate special collection programs: Bulk Item & Electronic Waste Collection as well as Household Battery & Cell Phone (Universal Waste) Collection. Both services can be provided for an additional fee. For additional information on each program, please see below.
Each program has its own guidelines and preparation requirements, but both must be scheduled at least 48 hours before your service day. You can schedule a pickup by visiting home.wm.com/corona, or by contacting WM directly. If the request is submitted late, pickup will occur on your next service day.
Bulk Item and Electronic Waste Pickup Program
Commercial and multi-family property owners may schedule a bulk item collection for an addition fee.
Each scheduled collection may include up to six (6) bulk items and five (5) e-waste items. Additional fees apply if item limits are exceeded.
Accepted: Couches, mattresses/box springs (wrapped and taped), refrigerators, washers, dryers, and household electronics.
Not accepted: Carparts, construction debris, hazardous waste (paint, cleaners, chemicals, oversized/heavy items, and tires.
Household Battery & Cellphone (Universal Waste) Collection
Commercial and multi-family property owners may schedule a Household Battery & Cellphone collection for an addition fee. The items must be placed in a clear Ziploc bag next to the recycling container for collection.
Important Guidelines:
• Do not place the bag inside your recycle container
•Remove all household batteries from devices prior to disposal
• Batteries may not be attached to or installed in anything other than a cell phone.
Accepted: Household batteries (AA, AAA, C, D, 9V), rechargeable or specialty batteries (alkaline, nickel, silver, mercury), and cell phones.
Not accepted: Embedded batteries, electric vehicle batteries, e-bike or e-scooter batteries, and lithium automotive batteries.
