The Riverside-Corona Resource Conservation District(RCRCD) is not a traditional retail nursery but operates a California nativeplant nursery that supports habitat restoration, water-wise landscaping, andconservation projects throughout the Inland Empire. Plant sales are conducted beginningthe first Saturday in Novembre and continuing through May. The selection variesseasonally and is based on propagation schedules, with many species grown fromlocally collected seed that are well adapted to Inland Southern Californiaconditions. The District also maintains the LandUse Learning Center, ademonstration garden featuring California native plants, wildlife habitat, andsustainable landscaping practices.
Unlike traditional nurseries, RCRCD specializes inCalifornia native plants and conservation education rather than ornamentallandscape plants. It is an excellent resource for homeowners interested increating environmentally responsible, water-wise landscapes using plants nativeto the region.
