The City is partnering with Blitz AI to offer a voluntary Prescreen Review service to screen plans for minimum submittal requirements prior to applying for plan check.  This software is in an introductory development and testing phase and we need your help!

What is Prescreen Review?

Prescreen review verifies that all submitted plans meet the minimum submittal requirements before being submitted to plan check. This prescreen review is not a plan check and does not evaluate code compliance. It’s purpose is to ensure that all required documents, plans, and supporting information are included so that plan check staff can perform a complete, comprehensive review.

What does the AI Prescreen do?

• When you upload your plans, the system will:
• Analyze the plans against plan chck submittal requirements to ensure submittal requirements are present
• Highlight potential missing checklist items required prior to plan check submittal

• Provide a report of checklist items and whether or not the item is included in the plans

Why Use This Tool?

It can take up to 3 business days for staff to prescreen your plans after your application is submitted. By using this tool before applying for plan check, you can identify missing submittal requirements in advance, helping you save time in the prescreen process.  Like other AI, the more this tool is used the quicker it “learns”, delivering fasterand more accurate results as the tool gains experience from feedback provided, saving applicants more time.

Does this AI prescreen tool cost anything?

No, this tool is completely free to use. This tool uses a “credit” system, where applicants are given 20 credits by default, and when plans are uploaded the credits are reduced by 5 for each set of plans uploaded.  If more credits are needed, applicants can request more and the credits will be replenished for free.

Important Notes

• This tool is still in early development and may not screen for all submittal requirements at this early phase.  The City of Corona has partnered with this third-party software developer as an early adopter, to assist in the development of this revolutionary technology to help transform and benefit the entire industry.  Use of this tool is voluntary at this point and the city is asking for your help and feedback!  The official prescreen review comments will be provided by city staff.
