Mayor Casillas Welcomes 2026-2027 Mayor’s Youth Council

Mayor Jacque Casillas introduced the 2026-2027 Mayor’s Youth Council at the September 16, 2026 City Council Meeting, welcoming a new group of student leaders from high schools across Corona.

The 14 new members represent five local schools:

• Centennial High School: Aarav Jain, Karina Montano, Presley Kelso
• Corona High School: Aleena Gutierrez
• John F. Kennedy High School: Chase Jensen
• Mission Vista Academy: Lois Kimm
• Santiago High School: Aarush Vig, Dillon Escobar, Justin Quinonez, Matthew Thomas, Miles Mathews, Roha Zahra

The Mayor’s Youth Council gives Corona students a chance to get involved in their community, learn how local government works, and make their voices heard on issues that matter to the city’s future. Through the program, students gain firsthand insight into how decisions are made at City Hall and how residents, city staff, and elected officials work together to serve the community.

The council’s newest members now join a tradition of young people helping shape the conversation about Corona’s future, and the City looks forward to the perspectives they will bring.
