FATAL TRAFFIC COLLISION
Corona, CA — On September 22, 2026, at 2:37 p.m., Corona Police officers responded to the 1400 block of Pleasant View Ave., Corona, regarding a traffic collision.
The preliminary investigation revealed that a vehicle was traveling eastbound on Pleasant View Avenue when it struck a child who was in the roadway. The child’s family members were nearby attending to a vehicle parked along the street when the collision occurred. The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene, cooperated with the investigation, and impairment is not believed to be a factor in the collision.
The four-year-old child was transported by ambulance to an area hospital and later succumbed to injuries sustained during the collision.
