Downtown Commercial Beautification Grants Program


The City of Corona is excited to announce a Downtown Commercial Beautification Grant Program, which is available for small businesses with 25 or fewer employees located within the Downtown Corona boundaries. Eligible small business owners can apply for a grant of up to $20,000 to cover material costs relating to commercial beautification, enhancement, and/or safety improvements. These grants are funded by the American Rescue Plan Act and offered in response to COVID-19 impacts.

Eligibility Criteria: Setting the Stage for Success
Businesses must meet specific eligibility criteria to qualify:
- Physical Location: The business must be physically located within the Downtown Corona boundaries
- Profitable Operations: For-profit business with 25 or fewer employees.
- Established Presence: The business must have been in operation as of January 1, 2022.
- Compliance: Applicants must be up-to-date on all required licenses, permits, and land use entitlements.
- COVID-19 Impact: Businesses should be able to demonstrate a tangible impact from COVID-19.
- Grants funds to be utilized for reimbursement of material costs only related to proposed improvements
