DOMESTIC VIOLENCE HOMICIDE LEADS TO OFFICER INVOLVED SHOOTING


Domestic Violence Homicide Leads to Officer-Involved Shooting
Corona, CA — On March 20, 2026, at approximately 7:56 a.m., Corona Police officers responded to a residence in the 600 block of Stoneybrook Drive regarding a domestic dispute.
Officers arrived quickly and contacted an adult male suspect who was armed with a knife. An officer-involved shooting occurred, and the suspect was later pronounced deceased at the scene. An adult female victim was located and found to be suffering from multiple stab wounds. Immediate medical aid was provided, and she was transported to an area hospital, where she was later pronounced deceased.
The identities of the deceased subjects are being withheld at this time, pending notification of their next of kin. There are no outstanding suspects, and additional information will be released as the investigation allows.
The Corona Police Department’s Investigative Services Division (ISD), the Riverside County Force Investigations Detail (FID), and the Riverside County District Attorney’s Office responded and are conducting investigations into the initial homicide and the subsequent officer-involved shooting.
