Our Investigative Services is led by Lieutenant Robert Newman and is comprised of the following divisions:
The detective bureau investigates complex cases referred by patrol. The department’s detective bureau is staffed with general detectives that handle all crimes including, property crimes, sex crimes, robberies, larceny and homicide.
The Corona Police Department's detective bureau includes several investigative units to include crimes against persons, property crimes, vice-narcotics, computer crimes, and detectives are assigned to several task forces such as the Riverside County Gang Task Force, DEA, Homeland Security (ICEFIT) and the Riverside County Real Estate Fraud Task Force.
Our investigative personnel are committed to providing the highest level of service to the community, with the end goal of keeping the City of Corona one of the safest cities in the nation.

Corona Police Department recognizes the family as an integral part of the community and has partnered with numerous service agencies to provide family resources. Our various programs include School Resource Officers, Youth Diversion Team, Special Event Permits and Planning, and Graffiti Tracking.

The Traffic Division is dedicated to facilitating the safe and orderly movement of traffic throughout our city. We accomplish these goals by promoting driver safety through traffic education, engineering, enforcement, and investigations.
