Our department encourages the adoption of shelter animals by responsible families. Each year the City of Corona Animal Shelter cares for thousands of stray, lost, or homeless animals in need of new homes. You are invited to visit our animal shelter to select a pet from our companion animals available for adoption.

Most adoptable stray dogs and cats become available for adoption to the public four business days after they are received. If you did not find the right companion for you today, please check back. "Our goal is to find the best homes possible and to enhance the lives of our community, by bringing people and animals closer together." We do not sell pets, we adopt companion animals to loving homes for a lifetime commitment.

All adoption fees include the cost of surgical sterilization of the animal; as well as, the first basic vaccinations (excluding rabies). For more information, please call or visit the Corona Animal Shelter.

- Q. Can I renew my dog license online?
  A. Yes. Visit the Online Corona Portal to renew your dog license online.
- Q. How can I help the Corona Animal Shelter?
  A. You can help by making a tax deductible contribution to help keep our shelter programs operating. You can also volunteer at the Animal Shelter, or you can donate a gift! Our wish list includes:
  - Pill Pockets
  - Frontline or Advantage Flea Treatment (Dog or Cat)
  - Unscented non-clumping cat litter
  - Dry dog & puppy food (Preferred: Iams, Purina, Pedigree)
  - Dry cat & kitten food (Prefered: Iams)
  - Canned catt & kitten food (Preferred: Royal Canin Baby Cat, Friskies)
  - Dog Treats
  - Dog Toys -Rubber "Kong" toys or over-sized tennis balls
  - Cat Toys
- Q. What do I do if I lost/found a pet?
  A. If you have lost a pet it is recommended that you visit the Corona Animal Shelter in person. Stray animals without identification are held for six (6) business days, not including the day of impoundment. Animals with known owner identification are held for 10 business days not including the day of impoundment. If you have found an animal wearing a City of Corona Dog License, call (951) 736-2309 for assistance in returning the animal to its owner.
- Q. Who do I call to file a noisy dog complaint?
  A. You may make a barking dog complaint by calling the City of Corona Department of Animal Services & Enforcement during our normal business hours. Our direct extension for barking dog complaints is (951) 736-2309. The City of Corona Department of Animal Services & Enforcement does not initiate enforcement on anonymous Noisy Animal Complaints.
- Q. What do I do if I see an animal locked in a vehicle on a hot day?
  A. If you see an animal in danger, take down the vehicle's color, make, model and license plate number. Try to have the owner paged inside the store, or call your local Animal Care and Control Agency or Police Department immediately. Do not attempt to take matter into your own hands.
