Street Pavement Rehabilitation: Upcoming Slurry Work

April 16, 2026

🚧 Heads up, Corona!

Crews are continuing work to improve our streets as part of the Citywide Pavement Rehab Project. Slurry sealing of various streets will begin on Monday, April 20th. The first streets slated to receive slurry seal include but are not limited to Orange Heights Ln, Mountain Gate Dr, and Holly Springs Dr.

If you receive a door hanger notifying you of upcoming construction, please be advised of the information below.

No parking or driving on impacted streets will be permitted during the hours of 7:00AM to 5:00PM. Please remove your car from the street before 7:00AM on these days. Temporary no parking signs will be posted before the work is started. If you plan to use your car, please be sure it is parked outside the work area, and not in a driveway or garage. Trash pickup will continue as scheduled, though trucks may come very early; it is recommended to place bins out by 6:00AM or the night before.

NOTE: Please do not allow water to run down gutters or get on streets. For their own safety, your children should not be allowed to play on or near the street on the date scheduled for work. Keep all animals away from streets during this period.

Wet slurry seal will stick to shoes, clothing and automobiles; so please don’t walk on it, ride your bicycle on it, or drive over it in your car until the surface is completely dry. It is important that you cooperate with the workers involved and stay off the street until barricades are removed.

Please park in any unposted location.

A slurry seal is a pavement coating and is subject to damage from turning wheels of your vehicle, while stopped. Avoid turning your wheels unless vehicle is moving forwards or backwards during the first few months after the project.

Although the street must be closed while the work is done, City staff and the construction contractor are making every effort to minimize any inconvenience. Doing preventative maintenance will help avoid major disruptions in the future.

If for any reason the work on your street is cancelled, you will be re-notified 48 hours in advance as to the new construction date.

It is important that everyone stay off the street while it is closed. Walking or driving on wet slurry seal will damage the pavement surface.

Thank you for your patience as we continue investing in safer, smoother roads! 🚜✨
