SHOOTING LEADS TO GANG-RELATED MURDER INVESTIGATION
Corona, CA – On June 7th, 2025, at 6:53 PM, Corona Police officers responded to a report of a shooting in the 500 block of Penrose Drive, Corona, and located a male victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
Officers quickly arrived on scene and located the victim. Officers immediately began life-saving measures. Despite these efforts, the victim succumbed to his injuries at the scene. The victim has been identified as Joesph Torres 29-years-old of Perris, CA.
The Department’s Investigative Services Division responded and assumed the investigation. Based on the preliminary investigation, this incident appears to be gang related. Multiple suspects have been identified and taken into custody. Their names will not be released at this time as it remains an ongoing investigation.
