Guided Hikes - What Goes Bump in the Night?
Join our first themed guided hike for families to enjoy the spooky season! This will be an evening of spooky fun at Rock Vista Park in which we will participate in a family friendly hike at the park while sharing what kinds of animals really go BUMP in the night in our City! A craft for children will be provided at the end of the hike.
This hike will be about 1 mile in length and mainly flat with some elevation gain. Please note that inclement weather may postpone/cancel our hike and wildlife sightings are not guaranteed. Park Rangers will provide guidance if any hazardous conditions are encountered, and please note that slippery conditions may exist.
Young hikers (5+) are welcome to participate with their parents. The pace of the hike will be determined by the participants, please plan to be out on the trails with us for at least two hours. Due to the group environment, please leave your furry friends at home.
Please bring:
- Your own water bottle
- Sunscreen
- Hike appropriate attire: a hat, boots that are slip resistant, and walking sticks are highly recommended.
- No sandals.
- Binoculars (Optional)
Participation in the hikes will require all hikers to complete a Waiver of Liability. Any participants under the age of 18 will need a parent to sign their waiver of liability. An email confirmation will be sent out to registered hikers on Wednesday, October 15, 2025.
