District Elections this November
Are you passionate about giving back to your community? Do you want to help shape Corona’s future? Consider running for City Council or City Treasurer.
In November 2016, the City of Corona changed from its “at-large” system for electing City Council Members to a “by-district” system. In the 2018 election, voters in District 1, District 4, and District 5 selected their City Council Members by-district. This year, in the November 2020 election, voters in District 2 and District 3 will have the opportunity to elect their City Council Member, and all Corona residents will have a chance to elect their City Treasurer which is elected “at-large.”
The nomination filing period takes place from Monday, July 13th through Friday, August 7th. If an incumbent does not file, the nomination period is extended to Wednesday, August 12th.
