COVID-19: City Council Temporarily Waives Penalties and Interest for Late Business License Tax and Transient Occupancy Tax Payments

The City of Corona is committed to helping our residents and businesses navigate the challenges of COVID-19.

On Wednesday, April 15th, the Corona City Council approved Resolution No. 2020-019, temporarily waiving all penalties, late fees, and interest on delinquent payments of business license taxes or transient occupancy taxes and extending the payment deadline for business license renewals due in April and May.

Business License Taxes and Renewals

To help local businesses and non-profit organizations impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, business licenses renewal fees due in April and May have been extended to June 30, 2020 without penalty. Please note, only the payment deadline is extended. The renewal period of a 12-month license will remain the same. 

Transient Occupancy Taxes (TOT)

Penalties, late fees, or interest charges on late payments will be waived for a period of ninety days.
