COVID-19: Animal Shelter Update

Post Date:03/30/2020 3:00 PM

During the statewide safer-at-home order, the City of Corona Animal Services and Enforcement Unit is taking precautionary measures regarding COVID-19. The Corona Animal Shelter lobby is currently closed until further notice.

Pet Adoptions

During the Corona Animal Shelter closure, Animal Shelter staff will help facilitate adoptions on Wednesdays only from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. by appointment only. No walk-up adoptions will be allowed.

Field Service Calls

For any field service calls residents are urged to call 951-736-2309. A field officer will impound the animal from the location found or residence within the city limits of Corona. It is not recommended for the public to drop off any found animals at the Corona Animal Shelter.

Dog Licensing

Dog licensing can be done online. At this time, donated blankets and towels are not needed. However, we are still accepting dog food, cat food (wet and/or dry), and non-clumping cat litter.

The Corona Animal Shelter is located at 1330 Magnolia Avenue in Corona. For more information, please visit www.CoronaCA.gov/Animals or contact the Corona Animal Shelter at 951-736-2309.
