COVID-19: An Update From Your Corona Public Library
Keeping our community safe is our priority during the COVID-19 pandemic. In response, the Corona Public Library closed on March 17, 2020. While we are closed, we encourage you to use our online resources.
During our closure, we ask that you keep any library items now in your possession until the library reopens. We are making sure you avoid late fees or expiring accounts:
- All library card accounts with an expiration date from March 1 to June 30, 2020 have automatically been renewed for an additional six months from the original expiration date. These cardholders can continue to access our eBooks, audiobooks, research material, and homework help are available at CoronaCA.Gov/Library without renewing their cards in person.
- As of March 17, all library materials that had been checked out or renewed with February 1 to March 31, 2020 due dates have been automatically extended to prevent the accrual of fines.
Holds on library items have been suspended for the duration of the closure. If you have received a message that your materials holds are "available for pick up" during our closure, please expect to find them on the hold shelf 7 days following our reopening.
- For those materials currently on the hold shelf, they will remain on the shelf for 7 days following reopening to give you a chance to come in to check them out.
- Though the library is closed, you can still place materials on hold, and we will begin fulfilling requests once we reopen to the public.
If you need a library card, you can apply for a Library eCard and immediately receive a number and password/PIN that will provide temporary access to our online resources. If you have a Corona Public Library card or a Smart Pass, there is no need to get an eCard. eCards expire in 30 days and cannot be used in the library unless it is upgraded. You may upgrade your eCard to a full-access library card that has checkout privileges by visiting the library with the required material when it reopens. Click here to register for a Library eCard.

At this time, the Corona Public Library is not accepting donations.
