Plan Your Weekend
As we all follow Governor Newsom’s statewide "Safer at Home" order and help slow the spread of COVID-19 we’re sharing tips to help guide you in planning your weekend:
Shop only for Essentials: You can go to the store to buy food for yourself, for those in your home, and for anyone else that needs help. Help retailers maintain at least 6 feet minimum distance between patrons, including by providing ample space while shopping and waiting in line. Minimize unnecessary trips.
Keep the Kids Engaged & Entertained: Entertain your children with games, reading, puzzles, and TV/videos at home. Engage them in education using online tools. Take advantage of Corona Public Library’s eMedia with eBooks and online storytimes.
Stay Active: Fitness and exercise gyms are closed, but you can still stay active by doing yoga on your own, shooting some hoops by yourself, or hit a tennis ball against the wall.
Testing for COVID-19 in Western Riverside County
Riverside County health officials are encouraging western Riverside County residents who have symptoms and are concerned they could have coronavirus (COVID-19) to get tested at a drive-up facility set up at the Diamond Stadium in Lake Elsinore. Testing will begin Saturday (March 21) and run through Sunday (March 22) by appointment only.
Those who want to get tested must have symptoms and must call 800-945-6171 to schedule an appointment before showing up at Diamond Stadium. Call wait times may vary. Drive-ups without appointments cannot be accommodated.
Some of the symptoms include fever, sore throat, cough, runny nose or congestion. Those who have risk of exposure may also be tested, which means exposure to a confirmed case or have traveled to an affected area.
