March 18th City Council Meeting, Public Encouraged to Watch from Home
In an effort to do our part to slow the progression of COVID-19, the Corona City Council meeting will remain scheduled for Wednesday, March 18, 2020, however, the Council Chambers will be closed to the public.
Watching from Home is Strongly Encouraged
Members of the public are strongly encouraged to observe the City Council meeting via the following live-streaming options:
Email Public Comments
Community members who stay home but desire to submit a general public comment or a comment on a specific agenda item can submit these via email to PublicComments@CoronaCA.gov
Please limit comments to 250 words or less. All comments submitted at least thirty (30) minutes before the scheduled meeting time on the day of the meeting will be read aloud at the meeting. Any comments received after this deadline and before the meeting has been adjourned will be maintained with the minutes of the meeting.
In-Person Attendance and Public Comment in Multi-Purpose Room
In an effort to support the County Public Health Officer’s order to limit gatherings to 10 persons or less and to promote social distancing measures, the Council Chambers will be closed to the public during the meetings. However, any person wishing to submit comments orally will be allowed to comment via remote teleconferencing in the Multi-Purpose Room at City Hall. Only ten (10) individuals will be allowed in the room at one time, and others will be asked to wait outside of the room, while practicing social distancing measures, until there is room to admit them. Should the number of individuals wishing to comment exceed ten (10), individuals who have already commented during the general public comment period or on a specific agenda item will be asked to leave the room in order to allow additional individuals to enter the room and submit their comments.
Please note that every effort will be made to have a video screen and audio available for those waiting outside of the room.
The doors of Corona City Hall and the Multi-Purpose Room will be open thirty (30) minutes before the scheduled meeting time.
A resolution adopting the above public attendance and comment regulations will be considered by the City Council as its first action at the City Council meeting on March 18, 2020.
