Water Pipeline Improvements Coming Soon to Hayden Avenue and Howe Street
The City of Corona will soon begin construction on the Hayden Avenue and Howe Street Waterline Replacement Project. The project will include construction of approximately 750 linear feet of water pipelines, including water service connections, fire hydrants, and other related work in Hayden Avenue from Nelson Street to Howe Street and on Howe Street from Hayden Avenue to approximately 430 feet south of Hayden Avenue. Minor asphalt pavement repairs related to the waterline construction will be performed at the intersection of Hayden Avenue and Nelson Street. This project will replace aging and undersized waterlines in Howe Street and increase water reliability in the area.
Construction will begin in early January 2020 and is expected to continue through March 2020.
Daytime construction hours are planned to minimize impacts to residents in the construction area. We are committed to completing the project as quickly as possible; however, this timeframe could change due to inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances.
What to Expect During Construction:
• Increased construction traffic and delays
• Lane closures and restrictions
• Parking restrictions
• Temporary water service interruptions with advance notice given
• Driveway access will remain available as much as possible
• Noise and dust
