Corona DWP: Water Rate Changes Community Meeting

Post Date:12/09/2019 11:20 AM

Last Wednesday, December 4, 2019, Corona City Council gave preliminary approval for a plan to increase water rates an average of 5% starting in the new year. The changes will help ensure sufficient revenues are collected to guarantee a fully financed, operational water utility.

Corona residents are invited to attend a community meeting to ask questions and learn more about the rate increases and changes to the water budget. The next community meeting will be held this Thursday, December 12 from 7 to 8 p.m. at the Temescal Desalter (745 Public Safety Way).

The second Public Hearing will be held on Wednesday, December 18. If adopted, the rates become effective January 19, 2020.
