15 PROJECT GIRDERS ARE "ON THE GO"
Have you seen the heaviest concrete girders ever made in California? These 132-ton girders are traveling at night by truck over the next several months from Perris to the Santa Ana River Bridge in Norco as part of the 15 Express Lanes project.
Crews are widening the massive Santa Ana River Bridge using 55 girders. The girder transport will occur intermittently on weeknights during off-peak hours, beginning at 1 a.m. Motorists can expect short traffic breaks and lane closures over the next few months until all 55 girders complete their journey to the project site.
