Library Press Release

For Immediate Release
March 29, 2019

CORONA, CA– It’s showtime at your Library! The Corona Public Library invites local businesses to be stars in the show by sponsoring the Summer Reading Program through coupon donations that serve as incentives to community readers.

The free Summer Reading Program (SRP) is part of Summer At Your Library programming. This year’s program theme is “It’s Showtime,” anticipating 2,000 child readers, 150 teen readers, 150 adult readers and over 3,000 event attendees. Initially developed to help prevent “summer slide” in K-12 students between school years, the SRP has been extended at Corona to promote a love of reading regardless of age or reading ability. The library advocates that all reading is good reading and allows readers the ability to set their own reading and literacy goals over the summer.

Generous donations of any number of coupons by local establishments will be advertised to over 5,000 library patrons who will be taking part in our reading and enrichment programs. Your donation helps celebrate patrons’ summer reading achievements.

The SRP runs from June 1 through July 31, 2019. Patrons may start picking up the incentives they earn as early as Monday, June 17. Support the reading goals of local readers by donating coupons to your establishment now through Saturday, June 15.

If you would like to learn more about Summer At Your Library or would like to donate to the Summer Reading Program please contact Amy Luke at 951-739-4917 or email
