DOMESTIC VIOLENCE WARRANT SWEEP NETS TWO ARRESTS
Corona, CA–In support of Domestic Violence Awareness, the Corona Police Department participated in the 15th Annual National Family Violence Apprehension Detail. This is a nationwide sweep involved agencies from across the United States to serve outstanding family-violence warrants.
On Oct. 19, 2017, members of the Corona Police Department conducted a Domestic Violence Warrant Sweep in an attempt to serve warrants for family violence related crimes.
Participating personnel identified 14 targets within the City and attempted to serve the outstanding warrants. Officers successfully made two arrests for outstanding domestic violence warrants.
“Our goal was to not only serve the warrants, but united with law enforcement agencies across the nation, send a message to offenders throughout the U. S. that no matter where they flee, we will work together to find them and hold them accountable,” said Chief of Police Michael Abel.
