CITY OF CORONA HOSTS ATHLETIC FIELD USE POLICY MEETINGS
CORONA, CA– The City of Corona Library and Recreation Services Department is updating its Athletic Field Use Policy and we are inviting the community to a series of public meetings to discuss this important topic.
Included in the revisions are current procedures, clearly defined residency requirements, facilitating fair and equitable use, and ensuring fiscal responsibility and sustainability. We want to create a revised policy that realistically considers limited resources and still meets community needs.
Local sports organizations, regular field users, and residents are encouraged to participate in the discussion. Join us for meetings at the Circle City Center, 365 N. Main Street, on the following dates:
Meeting I - Initial Review and Hearing
Meeting II - Draft Policy Presentation
To streamline the conversation and allow all organizations and stakeholders the opportunity to participate, groups are asked to send only 1-2 representatives and to choose a single spokesperson to speak on their behalf.
Please RSVP to Martha Kimbell in the Library and Recreation Services Department, at (951) 736-2241, or via email at Martha.Kimbell@CoronaCA.gov to confirm attendance. If your group is unable to attend, you may also submit a written comment. Please consult staff for a series of prompts to ensure your comments are included in the development and implementation of a successful policy.
