Celebrate National Library Week with the Corona Public Library

The Corona Public Library invites the community to celebrate National Library Week by joining free events! National Library Week is an annual observance sponsored by the American Library Association and libraries across the country. It is a time to celebrate the contributions of our nation's libraries and librarians and to promote library use and support. This year's National Library Week's theme is "Libraries = Strong Communities." 

The community is invited to take part in the activities throughout the week:

PACIFIC COAST PARANORMAL INVESTIGATIONS 
Saturday, April 6 • Two Sessions: 7 pm and 10 pm • Adults 18+
FUNDRAISER FOR TEEN PROGRAMS • $20 Suggested Donation

Get an early start at celebrating National Library week by joining Pacific Coast Paranormal Investigations as they investigate possible paranormal occurrences at the Corona Public Library. Guests will join the investigators as they collect evidence and conduct field research throughout the library.

Register and donate at the Circulation Desk. Cash, Check, and Credit/Debit (no AMEX) accepted. Space is limited to 30 participants per session. For more information call (951) 736-2401. Every $20 Donation = 1 Opportunity Drawing Ticket for Paranormal Investigation Equipment.

SPRING SERIES CONCERT KICKOFF
Monday, April 8 • 7pm • FAM Community Room • All Ages

Riamh is a chamber ensemble exploring celtic music, bluegrass, old time and the music of Sweden. Q&A with Riamh will immediately follow their performance.

KAISER EDUCATIONAL THEATER PRESENTS: JAY AND E AND THE ZIGZAG SEA

Tuesday, April 9 • 7 pm • FAM Community Room • All Ages

Kaiser Permanente’s Educational Theatre (ET) tells the story of a brave child, Jay, who fears only one thing: reading. Jay and their dog, Libro, set out on a bold journey across the ZigZag Sea in order to save story-time and prevent the book, “E”, from being forever unread. Along the way, Jay and Libro meet a bad pirate, a smart queen and some long scary words.

GAMES DAY
Wednesday, April 10 • 1:30-4 pm for Teens, 4-6 pm for All Ages

Enjoy board games, carnival games, a gaming truck, and laser tag in the Citrus Courtyard and FAM Community Room. A game truck and lazer tag will be available for specified audiences between 3-5pm. New Age Gaming Truck made possible by the Friends of the Library.

ART ATTACK (BAD ART & LIBATIONS) *CANCELLED*
Thursday, April 11 • 6-9 pm • FAM Community Room • Adults 21+

Get creative (without high expectations!). All art supplies will be provided. Wear that shirt your aunt got you last Christmas that you won’t mind getting paint on!

Register and donate at the Circulation Desk. Cash, Check, and Credit/Debit (no AMEX) accepted.  Space is limited. For more information call (951) 736-2401.  Every $20 Donation = 1 Opportunity Drawing Ticket for art-related prizes.  Beer made possible by Storytellers Brewery and Meet House.

LEMONCELLO'S LOCK-IN: KIDS
Friday, April 12 • 5:30-7 pm • FAM Community Room • 8-12 Years

Participate in a Scavenger Hunt and Team Puzzle based on “Escape from Mr. Lemoncello’s Library.” Participants will be split into teams and led by a Teen Advisory Council member throughout the library.

Pre-registration is free but mandatory. Space is limited. Please call 951-736-2388 or visit the Children’s Information Desk to register by Wednesday, April 10.

LEMONCELLO'S LOCK-IN: ADULTS
Friday, April 12 • 7:30-9 pm • FAM Community Room • Adults 18+

MAKER EXCHANGE FIRST LOOK
Saturday, April 13 • 12-4:00 pm • Library Makerspace 

Stop by to see the new makerspace service at the Corona Public Library! Join us and our community partners for a soft opening of our Maker Exchange, a brand new facility to foster life-long learning in a collaborative environment. Enjoy STEAM and Making activities for all ages, meet some of the community partners making Maker Exchange possible, and take a peak into the Maker Exchange room.
