NEW & UPDATED FEES ROLLOUT TO SUPPORT CITY SERVICES
CORONA, CA– The City of Corona, like many cities, regularly evaluates fees and services to ascertain both the cost of services and the level of community interest. A biannual fee study has been identified as a government best practice and is designed to ensure fees are consistent with state law, determine if new fees should be implemented and if existing fees should be amended or eliminated. Corona recently completed this year’s fee study with assistance from MGT Consulting Group. An updated Citywide Master Fee Recovery Schedule was approved at the November 20, 2018 City Council meeting.
Those in our community who utilize services and programs provided by Library and Recreation Services are going to see several fee changes beginning February 4, 2019. For regular users of Library and Recreation Services Department programs and facilities (including those who reserve sports fields, rent city facilities, sign up for classes in the Corona Connection, or participate in Kids Club), please be on the look-out for more detailed communication regarding impacts.
