CORONA, CA–On December 27, 2018, about 1:24 a.m., Corona Police responded to the 2400 block of Palisades Drive regarding a shooting.
Arriving officers located four male victims within an apartment complex, two suffering from gunshot wounds, and two others who were uninjured. A good samaritan citizen who heard the shooting, tended to the victim’s injuries and applied basic life saving measures while waiting for police and paramedics to arrive. The 22-year-old and 21-year-old gun shot victims were transported to a local hospital, where both are in stable condition and expected to recover from their injuries.
Detectives are currently interviewing the victims, who are all from the San Diego area. At this time the investigation is still active, but preliminary information has revealed the victims came to Corona to meet the alleged suspects. The purpose of the meeting and the motive of the shooting is still unknown and under investigation. Evidence at the scene shows a handgun was used.
Police are also still gathering details regarding the possible suspect, or suspects, information. One suspect was described as black male adult in his 20s to 30s. Unfortunately, we do not have more specific information about this suspect, or other possible accomplices.
