Arrests Made in Baby Jane Doe Case

ARRESTS MADE IN BABY JANE DOE CASE
CORONA, CA–On July 27, 2018, at about 2:36 p.m. the Corona Police Department responded to the area of Cajalco Road and Interstate 15 in Corona regarding an infant found deceased.
Upon arrival, Corona Police officers were directed to the location of the infant and confirmed the infant was deceased. The Riverside County Sheriff-Coroner responded to the scene and took custody of the body to determine the cause of death. According to the Riverside County Sheriff-Coroner’s Department, the cause of death is undetermined.
On December 6, 2018, Officers from the Corona Police Department, Corona Firefighters, and other members of the community buried Baby Jane Doe at Sunnyslope Cemetery in Corona. Following the funeral, Corona Police Detectives were contacted by individuals who had information regarding the case. The information led to the identification of a male and female who could be involved with the death of Baby Jane Doe.
On December 7, 2018, detectives interviewed Shawna Andritch, 22-year-old resident of Corona, and a 17-year-old juvenile male, also from Corona. Based on statements during the interview, Andritch and the male juvenile were arrested for their involvement. Andritch has been in custody since December 7. On December 12, Corona Police Detectives arrested the juvenile male. Both are in custody for murder and the case has been referred to the Riverside County District Attorney’s Office for prosecution.
