Fourth Annual Classic Car Show
Friends, family and the community are invited to raise funds for local nonprofit, Operation Safehouse
WESTliving senior living community, Estancia Del Sol, will be having their Fourth Annual Classic Car Show on Saturday, June 9 to raise funds for Operation Safehouse, a nonprofit that has been providing shelter and assistance to runaway, homeless and other troubled youth for 27 years.
Every June the senior living community comes together to celebrate and raise funds for a different nonprofit, inviting friends, family and the community to join. The event, which will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., will include a 50/50 raffle, delicious food and live entertainment from The Smokin’ Cobras—a Southern California ‘50s band that has played since the car shows inception. Classic car owners are invited to register for the car show by calling Estancia Del Sol at 951-340-3200. Registration is free and the event will take place in the community’s parking lots.
“This event is definitely a resident and staff favorite. Each year we get to support and raise funds for a nonprofit in our community which is a great feeling for us and more importantly for our residents,” said Alexis Remington-Perez, general manager at Estancia Del Sol. “We want our residents to feel like they are still contributing and having a positive impact in the world, so this event is perfect for that. It’s also great to see the excitement when these cars come out because most of our residents were growing up or young adults when these cars were built. It’s just a really great day for everyone.”
The 117-unit Estancia Del Sol community located at 2489 California Ave., offers independent living, assisted living and memory care and a range of activities aimed at keeping residents engaged with the local community. For more information, please visit www.estanciads.com.
