Click It or Ticket & Motorcycle Safety Campaign Starts May 21
Corona Police will show zero tolerance

CORONA, CA- As the unofficial start of summer, the Memorial Day holiday weekend is a busy time for Californians. Each year, the highways fill with families in vehicles on their way to start their summer vacations. To help keep drivers and passengers safe, the Corona Police Department is reminding motorists to Click It or Ticket. The national seat belt campaign will take place May 21 through June 3, concurrent with the busy travel season.

In addition to the Click It or Ticket campaign, the Corona Police Department will be conducting a specialized Motorcycle Safety Enforcement Operation during the same time in an effort to lower deaths and injuries.  Extra officers will be on duty patrolling areas frequented by motorcyclists and where motorcycle crashes occur.  Officers will be looking for violations made by drivers and riders alike that can lead to motorcycle crashes.  They will be cracking down on both those operating regular vehicles and motorcycles who are violating traffic safety laws.

This enforcement effort is funded by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. Always remember- Report Drunk Drivers - call 911.
