CORONA, CA– On May 12, 2018 at approximately 10:52 p.m., the Corona Police Department and Corona Fire Department responded to the 500 block of N. Lincoln Avenue regarding a traffic collision involving a single vehicle and a pedestrian. Upon arrival, officers found a male in his mid-thirties deceased at the scene.
The initial investigation indicates that the involved vehicle was travelling north on Lincoln Avenue and struck a pedestrian that was in the roadway. The driver of the vehicle and passenger were not injured. Driver remained on scene and notified police.
The Corona Police Department’s Collision Response Team responded and is handling the investigation. There have been no arrests made in this case and it is unknown at this time if alcohol, drugs, or speed were a factor in the collision. Deceased has yet to be positively identified by the Riverside County Coroner’s Office.
