CELEBRATE CINCO DE MAYO WITH THE OPENING OF NEW CITY PARK AMENITIES

CORONA, CA–Join the City of Corona on Cinco de Mayo as we celebrate the latest improvement to City Park, new basketball and volleyball courts! We invite the public to join us for the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony at 930 E. Sixth Street on May 5, 2018 at noon.

Courts

The removal of the previous courts at City Park were necessary for the construction of the City of Corona Department of Water and Power’s Ion Exchange Water Treatment Plant at the southwest corner of Quarry Street and Rimpau Avenue, but with a commitment to improve park facilities and expand recreational activities for residents, the City moved forward with the replacement courts. The project includes one full basketball court, two half basketball courts, a volleyball court, a covered seating area, an energy-efficient lighting system, and improved landscaping around the courts. Be among the first to dribble, shoot, set, and spike on City Park’s new courts.

The ribbon cutting will be held in conjunction with the community’s 44th annual Cinco de Mayo Celebration at City Park, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Cinco de Mayo celebration will feature live entertainment, children’s activities, and a variety of food vendors. There’s plenty of fun for everyone.

If you have any questions about the City Park Courts Project Ribbon Cutting, please contact the City of Corona Library and Recreation Department at 951-736-2241.
