Library Press Release

For Immediate Release

February 7, 2018

CORONA, CA–The Corona Public Library will be featuring Peppermint Ridge residents’ artwork Feb. 8 to Feb. 28, 2018 in the upstairs gallery. Peppermint Ridge is a Corona-based home to over 100 developmentally disabled adults. They provide empowering services and activities including art classes for their residents.

The community is invited to an artist reception on Wednesday, Feb. 28 at 6:30 p.m. in the library. Stop by and explore artwork by various Peppermint Ridge residents.

Peppermint Ridge was founded in 1959 by Mary and Bob Jeffrey, Norco residents who wanted quality care for their developmentally disabled son. Finding no such care available, they opened their personal home to other young boys with the same needs as their son.  By 1975, the original seventeen children moved to their present Peppermint Ridge location in Corona. Today, Peppermint Ridge continues to provide loving homes and support services to adults with developmental disabilities so they reach their full potential.
