'Tis the season of giving and holiday cheer! If you’re looking for fun ways to celebrate the holiday season this year, look no further than local Corona events!

 

Spark of Love Toy Drive – November through Sunday, Dec. 24, 2017

The Corona Fire Department will be collecting new, unwrapped toys for deserving families within our community. Collection sites will include all 7 Corona Fire Stations, Fire Headquarters, City Hall, and at the Circle City Center. All toys will be donated to the Settlement House, which will be then distributed to children within Corona and Norco. Holiday Lighting Celebration – Sunday, Dec. 3

The City of Corona’s Library & Recreation Services Department will be hosting the 2017 Holiday Lighting Celebration on Sunday, Dec. 3, 2017, 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. This year’s event will be held on the Front Lawn of the Historic Civic Center located at 815 W. Sixth St. Enjoy live entertainment, real snow, pictures with Santa and warm refreshments! Kids & Cops Holiday Magic – Saturday, Dec. 9

Take part in the 15th Annual Corona Police Department “Kids & Cops Holiday Magic” will take place on Saturday, Dec. 9, 2017, at Victoria Park located at 312 E. Ninth St, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The “Kids & Cops Holiday Magic” provides gifts, crafts, and games to underprivileged children within our community. Learn more…

 

Snow Day and fun with Santa – Saturday, Dec. 9

The Shops at Dos Lagos invite the community to play in 50 tons of fresh snow, enjoy fun with Santa, children’s crafts, a face painter, and balloon twist from 1 to 4 p.m. The event will take place at 2780 Cabot Drive, in Corona. Learn more…

 

Christmas Market Nights at Dos Lagos -- Monday, Dec. 11 &  Monday, Dec. 18 | 6-9 p.m.

According to centuries-old tradition, many German towns host Christkindlmarkts in December; each one is unique, featuring local artisans who sell unique arts and crafts. Residents take the opportunity to enjoy each other’s company, sample local delicacies, shop for gifts, and share holiday cheer. Stone Church Brewing, Migliore Gourmet Foods and Iplayology are bringing this festive Old World tradition to The Shops at Dos Lagos. Discover unique treasures to stuff into stockings or tuck under the Christmas tree at one of the more than 50 artisan huts offering handcrafted gifts for everyone on your list. Get into the holiday spirit with our lively line-up of holiday entertainment, and stroll the pathway to admire and vote on your favorite Holiday Wagon Float. Combining colourful décor, authentic gifts, and family entertainment, this Yuletide celebration creates the perfect atmosphere to mix and mingle with friends and family and find a festive photo op.

 

CAT Presents: the Winter Wonderettes – Friday, Dec. 15 through Sunday, Dec. 17

The Wonderettes are back! This seasonal celebration finds the girls entertaining at the annual Harper’s Hardware Holiday Party. When Santa turns up missing, the girls use their talent and creative ingenuity to save the holiday party! Shows will be held at the Corona Historic Civic Center Theater at 815 W 6th Street in Corona on the following dates and times:

Friday, Dec. 15th:  7:30 p.m.
Saturday, Dec. 16th: 2 p.m. & 7:30 p.m.
Sunday, Dec. 17th: 2 p.m.

Dickens Dinner – Wednesday, Dec. 13, 2017

The Santiago Choir Program invites the community to the annual Dickens Dinner. Enjoy an evening of holiday merriment, including dinner, dessert, music, the Dicken’s carolers, and a silent auction. The Dinner will take place on Wednesday, Dec. 13, 2017 at 5:30 p.m. at Santiago High School.

Flannel & Frost Senior Center Christmas Party – Friday, Dec. 15, 2017

Join the Corona Senior Center for a Christmas Party as they sip, savor, and celebrate the holiday season! The party will take place from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Corona Senior Center, located at 921 South Belle Avenue. Tickets are only $7 per person. Winter Break Treats – Thursdays during Winter Break

Stop by and enjoy Children’s New Releases Thursdays throughout Winter Break! The movies will be held in the Community Room at the Corona Public Library at 2 p.m.

Winter Break Kids Club Adventure Camp – Tuesday, Jan. 2 through Friday, Jan. 5 & Monday, Jan. 8 through Friday, Jan. 12

All aboard the Polar Express! Sign your kid(s) up for winter break fun including a weekly excursion. This special Adventure Day Camp will be held at the Circle City Center, 365 N.
