Bonnie Kent Exhibit in the Library Gallery

The Corona Public Library Gallery will be featuring California native, Bonnie Kent’s oil painting collections for a limited time this season. Kent’s two collections, "Throttle" and "Baker Beach," will be on public display Saturday, Nov. 11, 2017 through Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2018.Chris Gadler FMX

The public is invited to an opening gallery reception that will be hosted by the Corona Public Library on Wednesday, Nov. 15 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Stop by and discover Kent’s collections. "Throttle" explores the strength and determination of the motocross athlete. "Baker Beach" surveys the awe and grandeur of San Francisco’s captivating beaches.

"Pursuing a purer state of being within this short life span involves stripping away negativity,” said Kent.  “Painting allows me to look more closely–to see the unnoticed. It's a process of removing artificial and unnecessary elements.”

Although Kent began painting professionally in 2015, she was exposed to art at an early age. Her great grandmother created beautiful oil paintings which were proudly displayed and cherished by her mother.

The gallery is located within the Corona Public Library and is open during library hours, Monday to Wednesday 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., Thursday and Friday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.
